How we started

VICTORIA JUBILEE HOSPITAL TRUST

The Victoria Jubilee Dispensary Society, Ahmedabad,was established in 1865 by Rao Bahadur Ranchhodlal Chhotalal, (pioneer of the textile industry in Gujarat). The dispensary was the very first Obstetrics and Gynec facility of the city. The family of the Rao Bahadur Ranchhodlal Chhotalal was later known as Sir Chinubhai Madhowlal, Baronet Family. The hereditary title of Baronet was first bestowed upon Sir Chinubhai for his philantrophic deeds in the field of education,health and social welfare. The family contribuited sizeable fund for the development and progress of the dispensary. This resulted in thousands of women patients being able to avail of the services of the dispensary during the 19th and 20th centuries.
